About us

Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) was established as a multi-academy trust in 2016. The trust currently includes the following schools:

  • Bristol Cathedral Choir School
  • St Katherine's School
  • Headley Park Primary School
  • Stoke Park Primary School
  • Cathedral Primary School
  • Victoria Park Primary School

In September 2016 the trust was approved by the DfE to open CST Trinity Academy, a new secondary school for north Bristol. The trust has experience of opening a new school,  having successfully opened Cathedral Primary School in 2013. Trinity Academy will have a very close relationship with Bristol Cathedral Choir School and the primary schools that are part of the trust, building on their success to deliver outstanding opportunities for more students in Bristol. 

Cathedral Schools Trust hopes to create a community of learning that embraces teachers, students and their families, so that all can learn from one another.  We value diversity and encourage excellence and believe that strong and trusting relationships are at the heart of good education. We hope that students will be full of hope and a force for good in the world. Music will play an important role in the life of our schools, enhancing the sense of community via performance and celebration. The focus will be on working in partnership, with a rigorous but collegiate approach to support and challenge school leaders, staff and governors.  The trust will support and build leadership and management capacity, and it will value and encourage the continual professional learning of staff. We will always seek to improve.

Within our multi-academy trust we want every pupil to have:

- Access to enrichment opportunities, in particular in music and the performing arts.
